The Research Center has operated since 1987.  It started with the recognition, pioneered by others, that metaphors and visual map-building held tremendous power to align people– especially in challenging circumstances.  Cross-cultural organization problems in U.N. agencies and European corporate business needs, especially supply chain optimization were the first applications. TQM, OD and culture change followed, mainly in the U.S.
