I am an associate professor in the management department of University of Virginia's McIntire School of Commerce. For over a decade, my research, teaching and consulting has focused on applying social network analysis ideas to critical business issues for actionable insights and bottom-line results. I have worked with over 200 leading organizations (companies, government agencies, and non-profit organizations) on a variety of solutions including innovation, revenue growth, cost containment and talent management.
Over the last few years, I’ve written two books which explore these ideas in depth. They are filled with practical advice and case studies for how leaders can understand and drive value through networks. Driving Results Through Social Networks
Published in 2009, Driving Results through Social Networks: How Top Organizations Leverage Networks for Performance and Growth focuses on specific applications of network analysis that have yielded substantial business impact, supported by a broad range of case studies.
Excerpts from my endorsements,
